Kumasi Ghana

It is my second and last day here in Ghana, and the first is a sweet nine-year-old girl on the list for surgery.

The recently published results of Globocan provide further proof that breast cancer is indeed the most common cause of cancer in women in Ghana. As I have found in previous studies [30, 31], prostate cancer is common in men of African descent, while the incidence rate was lower than in other West African countries. Another surprising finding is that the estimated incidence in the breast cancer study in Abuja, the capital of Ghana, was the lowest in GlobOCan [13 per 100,000]. This finding was also in line with the fact that women accounted for 66% of all cancer cases in Abuja, compared to 34% for men [31]. The incidence rates were higher than in other West African countries [28, 29, 30], but not as high as I had expected.

In Ghana, this study allows for the presentation of previously light-hearted arguments against youth violence and religion. These results go beyond the results of studies in Ghana, Burkina Faso and Tanzania [31].

The Ashanti people of Ghana are one of the oldest and most influential ethnic groups in the world, and their culture occupies a special place in national life. Kumasi and its surroundings are a loose union of local tribes that merged in 1670 to form a single regional kingdom, the Asante.

It is estimated that Kumasi alone has more than 100,000 Kente, and a visit to the region is by far the best way to explore the roots of the culture. These include the Kenta, the Ashanti language and culture, and the arts and crafts, the latter being a good place to learn more about the Kente and its production.

Other hotels in Kumasi, Ghana include the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Kufuor Hotel and Lake Hotel in the city center.

Kumasi is reachable by a 45-minute flight from Accra, the capital of Ghana, via daily domestic flights from Citilink Antrak to Kumasi. The journey takes about 6 hours and you can be reproached if you read about the history and culture of the whole country in Ghana. You can also reach the city by car or bus using the trains that connect AccRA and Kumasia. Flights between Accras and Kwame Nkrumah International Airport (Kofi Annan Airport) are operated by all three airlines in the morning and afternoon.

Annan, born in Kumasi, Ghana, on 8 April 1938, was the first black African to take on the role of the world's leading diplomat, serving two terms from 1997 to 2006. He is the son of Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's former president, and his wife, Kofi Anna, a former UN secretary-general - and wife of former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Born in Kumasia, Ghana, in April 1938, Annan, who emerged from the ranks of the United Nations, is one of Africa's most influential figures in international diplomacy and human rights. Born on 8 April 1937 in Ghana, he is the father of Kwo Annen, an African and a member of the African Union (AU) and the UN Security Council.

Kofi Annan was born in Kumasi, Ghana, then known as the Gold Coast, and the capital of the Ashanti people, then Ghana's most powerful ethnic group. The city occupies an important place in the history of the Ashanti peoples and legend has it that Okomfo Anokye received the first gold medal for his achievements in gold mining.

Kumasi is the capital of the Ashanti region of Ghana and the second largest city in the country after Accra. The population is dense, with a population of about 1.5 million people and a British fortress dating back to 1897, which now houses the Ghana Regiment Museum, the main attractions of the city are the Bompata (Roman Hill) and Kumasi Town Hall, as well as the Central Business District. Here you will find a number of restaurants, shops, cafes, hotels, restaurants and other facilities such as hotels and restaurants. Central business district: Kumassi Central business district, which includes the "BompATA" (popularly known as the "Roman Hill"), has a concentration of banks, department stores, booths and hotels.

They have won several domestic and continental trophies and honours and serve as rivals for Accra - based on Hearts of Oak. There are occasional football matches in the stadium, but the best game you can see is the one in which Asanti Kotoko SC plays against Ghana's national team, the Ghana national team.

The Unite for Sight Ghana program includes grassroots work at eye clinics in Accra and Kumasi. In collaboration with project leaders, students will develop and plan their assigned field projects prior to arrival, where they will work together to implement their eye care and other health care projects. There is a referral hospital which serves as a primary care centre for patients with eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataract. A total of five eye clinics provide care to patients living in extreme poverty in villages across the country.
